Accessibility

We want every director, staff member, parent and student to be able to use Program Partner, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or voice control. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, on our website and in the app.
Where we are today
Our website (myprogrampartner.com) is built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Before it goes live, and after major changes, we check text contrast, keyboard use, visible focus, image descriptions, reduced motion, and layouts down to 360 pixels wide.
The app (app.myprogrampartner.com) is working toward WCAG 2.1 AA. We haven’t completed a full audit against it, so we don’t claim full conformance yet. Today the app:
- declares its language and marks up pages with headings and landmarks, so screen readers can move through them;
- lets you zoom with your browser, and works at phone widths;
- shows a visible outline on buttons, links and fields when you move through them with a keyboard;
- announces many status messages, such as saving, to screen readers; and
- runs in any current web browser, with nothing to install.
Known limitations
- The app doesn’t yet have a “skip to main content” link.
- Documents, scores, parts and recordings a program uploads are only as accessible as the files themselves. A scanned PDF, for example, may not work with a screen reader. Ask your director for another format.
- Some steps happen on pages other companies run: Google sign-in, the Stripe, Square and PayPal payment pages, and our demo booking page. We can’t fix those pages ourselves, but we’ll report problems to them and help you finish another way.
If something doesn’t work for you
Email support@myprogrampartner.com. Tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and your device, browser and any assistive technology. We reply within one business day.
If a barrier stops you from finishing something, such as paying a fee, signing a form or reading a message, we’ll help you finish it another way, working with your director when needed. Families can also ask their director to take a payment by cash or check, or to provide a form in another format. We’ll tell you when the problem is fixed.
